From sitting at home to going back to normal life

¨Ingrid Del Ferro speaking…¨
Good morning, my name is Valentine and I suffer a lot from hyperventilation.

I don’t even dare to walk from the couch to the kitchen because I have panic attacks, so how do I get to your institute in Amsterdam? “Well, you don’t come there. Shall I come to you?¨

If you could…

After a 2.5 hour drive I arrive at a beautiful villa in the woods in Zelhem. Never heard of this place, but is near the German border.

Valentine is waiting for me and I immediately detect her red face and spots in her neck. Panicked blue eyes with glimpses of hope are looking at me with uncertainty. Her long legs are in grey trousers and high black Gucci boots show her fashion sense.

I get a tour through this newly built villa where style and luxury prevail. In a beautiful room with French doors, overlooking the garden that seems to never end, she tells her story. Panic attacks have taken over in her life due to a number of hyperventilation attacks she has had. After calling 112 several times and ending up on cardiac monitoring, it turned out that nothing was wrong with her heart. Between the sentences, she gasps and her red face almost turns purple.

After my explanation of what happens in your body when you hyperventilate and apply the technique with her, something special happens. Spots decreased, purple turns red, and red turns pink. The intensity of blue in the eyes changed to a warmer shade of blue and a hopeful smile appears on her face. She says she can breathe “normally” again.

After an hour and a half I leave the villa and tell her that she must continue to practice the technique intensively. I hope she can come to Amsterdam next time for her second lesson.

And she came to Amsterdam in the car, relieved of a lot of complaints. After 4 treatments Valentine lives her normal life again. Proudly and with a tear of emotion, we hug each other at the last treatment in Amsterdam. Valentine has been released from her complaints and I am grateful that I was able to help her with that.
